Our Cutting and Tailoring training centre empowers women and young adult girls in the slum by providing them with practical skills that open up economic opportunities. With these skills, trainees can start their own small businesses, generate income, and gain financial independence. This training also boosts their confidence, as it enables them to contribute to their families’ well-being and gain respect in their immediate social circle and wider outreach.
Additionally, it creates a sense of empowerment by offering a path to self-sufficiency, allowing women to break free from cycles of poverty and reduce reliance on others.
Our trainees get stitching orders which they self-manage through the centre. It is a win-win situation for well-wishers of CFH who place stitching orders and for our trainees for happily stitching for them.
